This face-to-face course is presented by Russell Lehman (speaker, author, poet, advocate). Learning objectives provided by the presenter are:
1. Recognize the emotional experiences and internal worlds of individuals with autism, including those diagnosed in childhood.
2. Identify ways to create validating, inclusive environments that honor authentic self-expression across the lifespan.
3. Apply empathy-driven approaches to build deeper, more supportive connections with individuals on the autism spectrum. 

1.3 Encourages children's development of social and emotional skills
1.3 a. Understands and accepts children's age-appropriate emotional responses (i.e., crying, tantrums)
1.3 i. Recognizes when children show self-discipline and self-control
